CATC Camp Fuji Hosts Garrison Games

Staff at Combined Arms Training Center, Camp Fuji, Japan hosted the first Garrison Games at their installation. Its a friendly competition to test Marines’ military stamina and skills against Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force soldiers from neighboring garrisons. Camp Fuji Marines took home the traveling trophy this year. Next year another base will host the Garrison Games and teams will attempt to win the trophy away from the Marines. Creators envisioned that the games will continue for the foreseeable future.

On Apr 10, the Marine Corps took a historic step in its modernization journey with the establishment of the Portfolio Acquisition Executive-Marine Corps (PAE-MC). This new organization replaces Program Executive Office Land Systems (PEO-LS) and incorporates programs from Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), marking a significant transformation in how the Marine Corps develops and delivers capabilities to its warfighters.

Blount Island Command Team Supports First-Ever MPF Offload in Mindanao - U.S. Marines assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force stage vehicles during a maritime prepositioning force offload March 14, 2026, at the Port of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. The operation supported the rapid distribution of forward-positioned equipment for Exercise Balikatan 2026 and demonstrated how prepositioning processes support distributed sustainment by conducting offload, distribution and regeneration across afloat platforms, ashore nodes and transportation networks. Balikatan is a longstanding annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen the alliance, improve combined capabilities and demonstrate commitment to regional security and stability.
